Do you know your classmates?





This new activity has as porpuse to improve our student's skills in relation to speaking aspect but it will work with reading and listening too and another aspects as working in group, to increase authonomy and creativity, to learn about the use of ICT, etc...For that we will work with interviews which the students have to realize to their mates and film it for upload it to YouTube.

First, we will introduce the exercise to our students. We will tell them that they are going to interview one of their mates and upload it to Youtube. We will explain them that the interview is going to be about knowing your partner so the questions will be relationed just with this subject. After it, we will make them to choose a couple for the job. Once the couples are done, we will do a brainstorming about possible questions on the blackboard and we will keep the 10 better questions. Finished the brainstorming, they will write the questions down for do the job as homework.

However, we will say that they will get a prize if they use another questions for knowing some aspect of their partner in a better way. For example if someone asks "do you like sports?" and the partner says "Yes", we can ask more about sports like "Which one do you like" "What's your favourite player of that sport" "Do you practise it or you just watch it?" etc... As prize we can give them 0.1 extrapoints for each original question for example.

Once they have finsihed the job they will send it by e-mail to us and we will evaluate the related aspects.

Here we have some possible questions for the interviews:

- What's your name?

- What do you like to do for fun?

- What's your favourite subject? Why?

- What subject don't you like? Why?

- What's your favourite meal?

- Do you have a pet or would you like?

- What's the name of your pet ? Which one would you have? Why wouldn't you like to have one?

- What's you favourite movie?

- Do you like music?

- What kind of music? Why don't you like it?

This activity has as aim to improve the reading skills and make sure that our students understand what they are reading. For support this aspect we will play a Kahoot game. First we will introduce the exercise telling the children that we will read a text and later to play a game for knowing if they understood it. Once explained, we will give once each the sheet with the text and we will ask for volunteers for reading. If volunterees doesn't appear we will point the student saying his name telling him to read until we will tell him to stop and tell to another one to following the reading. What a wonderful world !

Hi guys! Here I'm going to share some activities for improving your english skills. This time we are going to focus on the listening aspect so let's go for it! In this activity we are going to work with a song by Louis Armstrong called "Wonderful World". The goal of this activity is to improve listening skills and to familiarize with english pronunciation.  First, we will introduce the activity to the students explaining that we are going to listen a song and the must refill the gaps with the words missing. After the presentation we will play the song once so they can familiarize with it. Once the song had ended we will provide a worksheet to each student for do the activity. We will play it one more time so they can check their answers and complete the gaps which they may be missing. We can play it one last time if we see that they need it. What do you see ?

In this activity we are going to practice the writing skills. For that the children must to describe some pictures that we will show them. First at all we have to choose 5 images from google images, shutterstock, pinterest... Once at the class, we will tell the student what we are going to do and how much time they have for it. After that we will start showing the pictures one by one and we will give them 6 minutes for describe the picture what they see. At the end, when all the images are described we will ask for volunteers for reading their descriptions and we will share opininons and conclusions.  Here there are some pictures from Pinterest that we can use for this exercise.
